This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.
George Bernard Shaw
Hi there. I’m just testing to see if I can add music. In this case, it is a recording of Emily, Mitch, and Nathan in our living room. Nathan wrote “Bedtime Blues”.

We are one week into the new year. Did you create some new goals? How is it working out for you?
I have spent many years developing my personal goal system and I have made plenty of mistakes as well as some successes. I learned that I am resistant to certain changes in my life and that idea about “new habits developing in twenty one days” is a myth. It may take twenty one days to develop a new and wonderful habit, but it only takes one day to completely erase it from memory.
I’m a positive person, but I can tell you that writing and achieving goals is an art form and requires some diligent work. If a goal is to be achieved, it must be consistent with who you are (from your perspective), and you must become passionate about the outcome. In addition, every goal needs an accountability system. Today, I offer you my free service to nag you about your progress. All you have to do is email me at GOALS and tell me what you want me to nag you about. I will (privately) ask you about your progress from time to time. If you don’t know how to set your goals, let me know and I’ll send you my notes when they are ready.
